Hi there, I'm running esxi on my home server and I'm slowly coming to the conclusion that there are more discrete PCIe devices (low-power GPUs, USB-cards, SATA-controllers) that I'd like to pass through to individual VMs than my mainboard can provide PCIe slots for. How would esxi handle PCIe bifurcation or riser systems like this? Could I pass through all PCIe devices connected to these kinds of systems to individual VMs or could I only pass through the "original" slot on the motherboard? To clarify, I'm not worried about bandwidth here since I'm neither using high-power GPUs nor 10Gbit ethernet adapters nor NVMe-storage, so I'd be fine with having 16 PCIe x1 slots instead of one PCIe x16 slot. A story from a cloaky camper and an attempt to build a beast mode multi-boxing server.

Some of you may know me, some may not. Those that do will know I offer cloaky camping services over new eden. I do camping contracts / extort renters and focus my time hunting botters when the contracts are quiet. I offer PvP entities access to my cyno network to get dank kills and big escalations. From super carriers to Rattlesnakes.
The thing that got me into camping was hunting bots back in the dronelands a few years ago. I realised the most effective way to hurt them was to camp them 23/7, follow them around using locator agents. Eventually they had to rat with me in system. When they did I setup bubble traps etc and dropped blops and cleaned them up.
The 2nd thing I love about cloaky camping is the ability to counter Alliances (i feel its overpowered) intel channels / networks. Think about it. They have multiple intel toons dotted around the entrances to their pipes reporting hunters coming into the pipe allowing the PvE players to warp off and safe up. They even use external programs to collect this intel and give audible alerts. Cloaky camping is just the polar opposite. Dotting toons in their ratting pocket and giving me intel on whats going on in their system. As long as local chat exists so will cloaky camping. I'm pretty confident CCP share the same thought.
People probably think cloaky camping is easy. You are wrong. The prep work and behind the scenes work that goes into it is pretty immense. You are about to find out.
The hardware i'm currently running the 60 clients on is as follows:
How do you pay for 60 toons I started with 10 campers and made ISK by other means. When I made new campers I invested ISK and started to Skill extract and plexing the toons. I also make a decent amount from people who pay me to camp others.
The Setup I manage the clients window positions and CPU allocation with ISBOXER. Its legal to use as long as you don't use input broadcasting. I boot up the clients with ISBOXER EVE Launcher. I copy the window positions / chat channels etc over using garpaui. I use remote desktop to manage the clients light cynos etc. Example here
On both motherboards I had to under clock the processors as they were drawing too much power from the motherboard and causing the chipset to overheat. I think these motherboards are not beefy enough to support these 8 core processors. It caused the CPU to throttle reducing the clock speeds to 1.3Ghz and causing lag issues. I solved this problem by reducing the clock speed from 4Ghz to 3.6Ghz and reducing the CPU voltage. This reduced the heat by a really good amount and stopped the problems.
However, Me being me I wanted to expand and the camping pcs were running at full chat. So I needed a better piece of hardware to host these 60+ clients. So, while at Fanfest, I bidded on this R820 Server on ebay and won!

The hardware should be able to support multiple clients. However i'm not too sure how eve is going to behave when I try and open 60 instances all in one OS. I have set myself up for a hell of a challenge! However, I feel like I got a pretty good deal on the server and DELL hold their value. I'm sure I can re sell it if the project fails.
Things to work out:
Install a Consumer GPU into the server somehow / buy an overpriced Quaddro / GRID gpu / modify a Geforce to appear like a Quaddro (some use the same hardware)
How to host the clients? Hypervisor or native all on one OS
Where to put it (noisy)
Things I will teach you guys
Modifying the PSU to give the GPU power (soldering perhaps)
How to setup ISboxer
How to setup IS boxer eve launcher
How to copy one Toon's UI , window positions, chat channels to 60 clients.
Update 23/04/18 I have made some decent progress on this crazy project. I will give some breif updates here. I will get a blog up and running to post full details with how to's etc. Its probably way to long for reddit.
I have successfully installed some GPU's into the R810 AMD R9 280x and Nvidia GTX 970. I soldered some PCI-E cables to the PDB and it worked fine. The GTX sits nicely in the chassis however, the R9 280X is external atm using a PCIE x1 to x16 riser (from my bitcoin mining). Also I have managed to enable and use them both with passthrough in ESXI 6.5. Yes the GPU works with a x1 adaptor. WTF!
Freezing Problem with a single os install If I try and run more than 40 clients in a single OS I the system freezes when loading up client 41. I have tried the following:
Windows 10 / Windows server 2016 OS's
Virtual windows 10 OS
Using multiple instances of the Shared Cache
Installing EvE to a RAM drive
Removing / enlarging page file
I cannot see why it is freezing. Is there any way to gather logs for the client? It doesn't appear to be a resource problem. Plenty of RAM / CPU and HDD isn't going crazy.

This project isn't for gpu mining but I know these risers are mainly used for this purpose so I thought I might get some good feedback here. My project is that I have an itx board with a single x16 pcie slot. It also has 3 m.2 pcie gen3 x4 slots. I have one free m.2 slot and wanted to convert that to x16 via riser. I wanted a 2nd low power silent gpu added to the rig. I went with the fanless msi 1030. It has a max draw of ~30w so I figured sata power would be safe. I purchased this and this to test with. Neither work!! So it must be something on my end?? The first part is fairly standard, the difference being I'm going to a m.2 slot where most of you are coming from x1 or x4. "In theory" this should just work! I'll start with the 2nd part since it's very simple: m.2 connector -> x16 socket + sata power. I hooked this up, seated the gpu and booted up. Nothing. Not even bios. I pulled the gpu and booted. Bios worked and booted up (running a 1080ti direct on the board). Installed the gpu back and nothing. I bought the 1030 used so I pulled the 1080ti and installed the 1030 direct to the mb. Works! So then I thought maybe the riser is bad or that sata power is insufficient seeing that most gpus would also have 6+8pin direct whereas mine has no external power. So I swapped risers out. This time the 008s with additional power connectors. Exact same thing. First I powered via pci only. Then sata+pci. And finally sata+pci+molex. In all situations the red led lit up. In all situations if I do not have the gpu plugged in it boots up fine. The strange thing is I never get into bios. No speaker or post lcd on this board so my troubleshooting is limited. And to note I test both gpu hdmi ports just to make sure one vs the other was set to primary. I got lazy and just looked at my mouse to light up to see if it booted. The mouse stayed dark, implying it never posted. Any help would be greatly appreciated! solved I have two m.2. ports which are pcie only. I have 1 port that is pcie/sata. the suggestion by u/sqrtlurface was to use the pcie/sata port and now the 1030 is being recognized in both linux and windows.
A heads up to those wanting to use PCIe splitters/switches.
Well, after 129 miner restarts in SMOS I've finally gotten my 8 GPU rig mining stable for 16 hours straight. I'm using Supermicro boards in my operation to have IPMI and limit having to move rigs or monitors around to troubleshoot. Once the kinks are worked out its great! Anyways my board only has 7 PCIe slots so I've been experimenting with splitters to get me to 8 cards. Its been a long road. I started with a couple of those x1 into 4 USB cards which kinda worked if I was running less than 6 total GPUs and no more than 2 cards on each splitter. They are funky. I could run 4 on the board and 2 on the splitter for days but if I added 2 more to the board I had constant crashes. I spent an immense amount of time messing with the PCI gen, MCFG setting (base address for PCI devices) with mixed results. Finally as I gave up yesterday and put 2 cards back in another rig my x16 to 8 USB splitter finally arrived! I threw it in and hooked up 6 GPUs to it and I'll be damned it ran for 30 minutes no problem. I said screw it and grabbed 2 more cards again and had some rejected shares. Switched the slot back to PCI Gen2 and what do you know. Haven't had to reboot yet. Obviously its known your mileage will vary using splitters like this. It won't magically make a 20 year old motherboard support more cards. But if you have a modern-ish board that doesn't have enough slots it may be the ticket. I know people have had luck with those 4 GPU splitters I'm still not sure why they were so unstable for me but hey this works. I finally made my way over to egpu and egpu.io. Read the DIY 101 and some of the initial tutorials over on io. I sort of risk a cross post because I also posted similar questions over on virtualization and gpumining. I started over on mining because they deal with lots of risers but in particular x1/x4 to x16. Virtualization because this is what I'm trying to accomplish and those of us who have itx boards all need a 2nd/3rd gpu. Thus far my testing hasn't gotten me anywhere so I'm reaching out for additional feedback. Summary I have an itx case/board running skylake-x (no igp). I need to install a 2nd gpu (4k 60fps/hz in 2d and fanless/silent were my reqs - I picked up a msi 1030). I have (3) m.2 pcie gen 3 x4 slots, one of which is dual sata/pcie. I picked up this and this to test with. Neither work. It appears that it's not even passing POST - no bios screen. After reading egpu.io and the diy 101 here my hunch is that I'm running into a bios whitelist issue. What do you think? Steps taken: 1. tried both parts, the one part only takes power via sata (the card tops off at 34w and sata is capable of 54w) and the other i powered via 6pin pcie. with a card inserted it does not even hit bios. with the card unplugged i boot fine. 2. verified that the 1030 operates fine by plugging into the single x16 slot direct on the board. verified that it is not conflicting with my 1080ti (direct on mb) by unplugging the ti and only running 1030 via riser. 3. verified that its not some weird sata/pcie incompatibility by disabling sata in the chipset section of bios. next steps 1. per a suggestion in the other post, I will try the dual use sata/pcie m.2 slot. I don't think the m.2 key would be sata, but worth a shot. 2. per egpu.io i will try to hot plug via the usb cable after boot. and see if the gpu will auto detect. personally i think this is what will do the trick. however long term this will not work because for my project the gpu is inside the case. for this reddit this is fine because most/all of you are running external and a disconnect is easy. 3. ironically one of the parts was on the recommended parts list over on io, so you would think i'm good to go. which really makes me think about the bios whitelisting issue. other than trying an amd card out (which won't meet my reqs longterm) i'm not sure how to fix/test the bios issue. Hey everyone, to begin I have a full PC Build. + Other Parts below.. Your going to hate me but this is the fucking truth I swear. I basically do not need a gaming PC at the moment. And my will to game has faded...but my will for gainz is growing. I have recently found the sub /wallstreetbets and I'm selling all my shit and YOLOing the fuck out. Long story short, then I started saving all my freedom dollars into bitcoin, then I started mining and small term investing. And now I am in it balls deep. My reasoning behind all this is simply, I don't need all this shit if I'm not going to use it right now. And if I don't go broke and do well over time I can buy it all back better next year. Annnnnd if I go nolo broke, well I made a slightly costly bad life decision at 25 and learned some really god damn good life lessons (at least one would hope). So I'm selling all my needless possessions (Except my PS4), lowering my bills and overall cost of living and investing it all...in AMD. (Not all I diversify. but 100% of this PC would go towards it.) Hello everyone! This subreddit has gotten a lot of new miners since Bitcoin has skyrocketed and NiceHash has been hacked, and since very many posts regard the same type of subjects, I've compiled a bit of valuable information that beginners can use. Before we start I want to say that there's a lot of information on this topic, so looking in the sidebar as well as doing a simple Google search can answer many questions. I'm not a moderator on this subreddit (PM me 'nudge nudge') nor do I claim to be a professional on this subject, I just want to supply information for beginners and make the subreddit cleaner. Let's get going then!
1. Where do I start?
Do note that not all mining is profitable, old GPU's, CPU's and even some ASIC miners are not profitable at all, and will result in a higher electricity bill that outweigh your earnings. That being said, a good rule of thumb is the newer the tech, the more profits you'll recieve. A good way to know how profitable your GPU is, is to enter the hardware you have here and look at the most profitable coins for you to mine.
2. What currency do I mine?
Having entered your hardware at whattomine.com it will show you the most profitable coins to mine. Good, more popular recommendations are: Ethereum (ETH), Monero (XMR) and ZCash (ZEC) and some upcoming coins are Monacoin (MONA), Vertcoin (VTC) and Zencash (ZEN). Not a complete list but a good place to start.
3. What hardware do I need?
The most important components are GPU's, PSU's and Motherboards. Focusing your budget on those is a smart move. Look up your graphics card's TDP, multiply it with the amount of cards you want to use and add ~300. That gives you the amount of Watts you need to power everything, and accounting for the rest of the system as well as some margin. Sometimes you're gonna need more than 1 PSU, and getting efficient PSU's is really important. The bigger the rig you want, the more PCI-E x1 and x16 slots in your motherboard. CPU, RAM and storage is not valueable in a rig, although having a full hard drive and a slow CPU will slow other usage down i.e. during setup/maintenance.
3. What software do I need?
You're going to need a wallet to have your money in. Search for the coin you want to mine and wallet, you'll be guaranteed to find something. Different currencies have different algorithms and different mining software support different algorithms. Search for the algorithm of the coin you want to mine and then find a suitable miner. Some names to remember are Claymore and CCminer as they support a plethora of coins. Other than that you'll need overcloking software (e.g. MSI Afterburner), Hardware Monitoring software and if you want to manage your rig remotely (which you will want to do) then TeamViewer is helpful.
4. How do I set everything up?
Again, Google is your friend. Find a computer building guide, and once the rig is built there's a tonne of mining set up guides for every concievable coin, wallet and pool. Lastly, I want to make two things very clear before you start. If you're not a tech-savvy guy then it's not worth doing. It's gonna be a lot of bugs and problems and if you haven't built a PC before it's going to be almost impossible to make everything work. And NEVER SPEND MORE THAN YOU CAN LOSE. To start mining with a decent rig, you're gonna need at least 1500$ for a new decent rig that doesn't have a 10 year ROI. If spending that money will hurt your economy, don't do it. A good tip is to start with the PC you already have to get a grip of all the software setup and start gaining mining experience. Good luck mining! TL;DR: No, you cannot mine with your printer.

I am seeing too many new people come and and getting confused. Litecoin wiki isn't the greatest when it comes to summing up things so I will try to do things as best as I can. I will attempt to explain from what I have learned and answer some questions. Hopefully people smarter than me will also chime in. I will keep this post updated as much as I can. Preface Litecoin is a type to electronic currency. It is just like Bitcoin but it there are differences. Difference explained here. If you are starting to mine now chances are that you have missed the Bitcoin mining train. If you really want your time and processing power to not go to waste you should mine LTC because the access to BTC from there is much easier. Mining. What is it? Let's get this straight. When making any financial commitment to this be prepared to do it with "throw away" money. Mining is all about the hashrate and is measured in KH/s (KiloHash/sec). Unlike the powerful ASICs (Application Specific Integrated Circuit) that are used to mine bitcoins using hashrates in the GH/s and even TH/s, litecoin mining has only been able to achieve at the very best MH/s. I think the highest I've seen is 130 MH/s so far. Which leads us to our next section. Mining Hardware While CPU mining is still a thing it is not as powerful as GPU mining. Your laptop might be able to get 1 a month. However, I encourage you to consult this list first. List of hardware comparison You will find the highest of processors can maybe pull 100 KH/s and if we put this into a litecoin mining calculator it doesn't give us much. Another reason why you don't want to mine with your CPU is pretty simple. You are going to destroy it. So this leaves us with GPUs. Over the past few months (and years) the HD 7950 has been the favourite because it drains less power and has a pretty good hashrate. But recently the introduction of the R9 290 (not the x) has changed the game a bit. People are getting 850 KH/s - 900 KH/s with that card. It's crazy. Should I mine? Honestly given the current difficulty you can make a solid rig for about $1100 with a hashrate of 1700 KH/s which would give you your investment back in about a month and a half. Estimated Hashrate (with GPU overclocking) : 1900 KH/s Hardware Fundamentals CPU - Do you need a powerful CPU? No but make sure it is a decent one. AMD CPUs are cheap to buy right now with tons of power. Feel free to use a Sempron or Celeron depending on what Motherboard you go with. RAM - Try to get at least 4 GB so as to not run into any trouble. Memory is cheap these days. I am saying 4 GB only because of Windoze. If you are plan to run this on Linux you can even get away with less memory. HDD Any good ol 7200 RPM hard drive will do. Make sure it is appropriate. No point in buying a 1TB hard drive. Since, this is a newbie's guide I assumed most won't know how to run linux, but incase you do you can get a USB flash drive and run linux from it thus removing the need for hard drive all toghether. (thanks dystopiats) GPU - Consult the list of hardware of hardware I posted above. Make sure you consider the KH/s/W ratio. To me the 290 is the best option but you can skimp down to 7950 if you like. PSU - THIS IS BLOODY IMPORTANT. Most modern GPUs are power hungry so please make sure you are well within the limits of your power consumption. MOTHERBOARD - Ok, so a pretty popular board right now is Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 and the ASRock 970 Extreme4. Some people are even going for Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD5 and even the mighty Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD7 because it has more PCI-E slots. 6 to be exact. However you may not need that much. With risers you can get more shoved into less. PCI-E RISERS - These are called risers. They come in x16 to x16 and x1 to x16 connections. Here is the general rule of thumb. This is very important. Always get a POWERED riser otherwise you will burn a hole in your MoBo. A powered rise as a molex connector so that additional power from PSU can be supplied. When it comes to hardware I've provided the most basic knowledge you need. Also, take a look at cryptobader's website. This is very helpful. Please visit the mining section of Litecoin Forums and the litecoinmining subreddit for more indepth info. Mining Software Now that you have assembled your hardware now you need to get into a pool. But before you do that you need a mining software. There are many different ones but the one that is most popular is cgminer. Download it and make sure you read the README. It is a very robust piece of software. Please read this if you want to know more. (thanks BalzOnYer4Head) Mining Pools Now that your hardware and software is ready. I know nothing about solo mining other than the fact that you have to be very lucky and respectable amount of hashing power to decrypt a block. So it is better to join pools. I have been pool hopping for a bit and really liked give-me-coin previously known to the community as give-me-ltc. They have a nice mobile app and 0% pool fees. This is really a personal preference. Take a look at this list and try some yourself. How do I connect to a pool? Most pools will give you a tutorial on how to but the basics are as follows:
Signup for a pool
Create a worker for your account. Usually one worker per rig (Yes people have multiple rigs) is generally a good idea.
Create a .run file. Open up notepad and type cgminer.exe -o (address_to_the_miningpool:port_number) -u (yourusername.workername) -p (your_worker_password_if_you_made_one). Then File>Save As>runcgminer.run (Make sure the drop down is set to "All Files" and .txt document.) and save in the same folder as cgminer. That's it.
Double click on runcgminer.run (or whatever you named it) and have fun mining.
Mining Profitability This game is not easy. If it was, practically everyone would be doing it. This is strictly a numbers game and there are calculations available that can help you determine your risk on your investments. 4 variables you need to consider when you are starting to mine: Hardware cost: The cost of your physical hardware to run this whole operation. Power: Measured in $/KwH is also known as the operating cost. Difficulty rate: To put it in layman's terms the increase in difficulty is inversely proportional to amount of coin you can mine. The harder the difficulty the harder it is to mine coin. Right now difficulty is rising at about 18% per 3 days. This can and will change since all you miners are soon going to jump on the band wagon. Your sanity: I am not going to tell you to keep calm and chive on because quiet frankly that is stupid. What I will tell you not to get too carried away. You will pull you hair out. Seriously. Next thing you will need is a simple tool. A mining profitability calculator. I have two favourite ones. coinwarz I like this one cause it is simple. The fields are self explanatory. Try it. bitcoinwisdom I like this one because it is a more real life scenario calculator and more complicated one (not really). It also takes increasing difficulty into account. So I have been trying to finalize a build set up for the past few months. Prices have been skyrocketing lately due to the bitcoin miners. My question is, what is the benefit of actually building your own pc right now? For reference, I have found an overall great pc at best buy. I have a simple set-up I've been trying to get running stable for about a week now. I have 2x nVIDIA GTX 980 and 2x Radeon 29 280X cards that I want to use. I have previously used just the GTX 980s and they were stable for weeks. I recently acquired the 280s, and while I can't be certain, I think the cards are not at issue. I also had two of the 980s and one 280 running in my desktop stable for quite some time, just as a tester. But for the actual mining rig, I was using old AMD AM3-based hardware. And I've had nothing but problems. Murphy's law. First, I had a motherboard go out (ASUS M4A87TD EVO.) Luckily I had a spare. But the ASUS board had two native PCI-E x16 slots (one running at x1 speed,) and so I had been running the 980s both in the motherboard, and was using this riser extender to run the other cards, with molex->SATA risers (I don't have enough native 4-pin connectors to run without molex to SATA adapters.) The "new" board (which is actually chronologically older and older tech) is a Gigabyte GA-MA785GM-US2H. It's also socket AM3 but only supports DDR2 memory; luckily I had old DDR2 available. This board also only has one x16 slot, so I am running 3 GPUs outside of the chassis with x16 risers. It turns out after some nightmare of troubleshooting that one of the DDR2 DIMMs is probably bad. I don't have a replacement at the moment, but I've tried running everything with one DIMM. I also have Virtual Memory (swap/page file) set to 16GB. I don't know why this is necessary, but other people mention it and NiceHash wouldn't let me run 4 cards without it. Anyway, all works "fine;" I have the 280s set to 850MHz core clock and +20 power with 100% fans, and 100% fans and native clock on the 980s. But I keep getting crashes. Before I had freezes, so I also changed out power supplies several times and tried everything you can think of. I don't think the issue is down to power any more, but I'm open to correction if anyone has a suggestion or tip. For power, I'm using a 3 to 1 ATX-24 pin adapter, with a SeaSonic 620W as the master, and a Corsair 550W as the "slave." The SeaSonic powers the motherboard and the ATX12V for the CPU. It also powers the 3 SATA to molex adapters for the x16 risers, and the 8+6 pin PCI-E power connectors for the 280s. The Corsair powers the HDD (this I have also suspected of causing problems but I have swapped HDDs and had the same issues, and I really need to get an SSD for this thing,) two 120mm intake fans, two 140mm exhaust fans, and the 6 pin PCI-E connectors for the 980s. It doesn't seem to freeze anymore. It will mine just fine for a while but eventually I will get a BSOD, usually saying that the device driver has gone into an infinite loop. I believe this is the Crimson driver (I am using version 15.12.) I've swapped CPUs and memory and HDDs and motherboards and I'm just almost at my wits' end about to tear my hair out trying to get this thing to run stably. I most likely just need to get all new mainboard/CPU/memory, but I can't do that at the moment, so I am looking for any advice/help I can get. I would assume the driver is going into an infinite loop because it's polling hardware and not getting the response it expects or something like that, which could indicate a power or heat issue, but I don't know. And I've searched for the BSOD error and 90% of the results for "device driver went into an infinite loop" (paraphrasing) were related to AMD Crimson drivers. So that's been where my suspicion has been so far, and I've had other problems with getting the AMD stuff to work when I was initially setting it up. (And had problems with AMD/ATi drivers going back 20 years, ugh.) So.. Any advice? TL;DR: Running 2x GTX 980 and 2x R9 280X; keep getting BSOD about device driver going into an infinite loop after some time mining. Want to stab myself.
First upgrade in 5 years almost ready to go (I hope)
It's been a long time since I've been on here, that's for sure. Looking to build a new gaming PC to game on a two monitor setup (just 1080p monitors, no 1440p or 120hz or whatever). I've tried to speak to people and do my reading, and I've come to the below as my part list for my next build. Preferably I'd maybe get a better graphics card with this money, but I know GPU and RAM prices are messed up right now, so not too much that can be done about that. Just looking for another set of eyes to look over this part list and see if I've made any critical mistakes. Some points I was thinking:
Will the cooler I've chosen fit the motherboard without needed a mounting bracket/adaptor? I'm trying to avoid that if possible
Is it really worth getting the 1600x over the 1600? There's a non-zero chance I will overclock this in the next 5 years, but I hear the 1600 can also be overclocked (even with the stock cooler some say), so the extra ~15 plus money for the cooler could be saved potentially
How does the 1050ti line up against the 3gb 1060? Those damn bitcoin miners have driven prices up so I don't want to shell out for a 6gb 1060, but I'm willing to consider alternatives to this card that are around the same price (I haven't given AMD too much consideration there to be fair)

Here are my parts. They were chosen and bought just before the rise of Ryzen and the bitcoin boom happened where the ram that i have only cost about $110 USD. It now costs about $204 USD whenever it is on sale. Much sadness right now. The windows 7 home premium is running just fine because we found some drivers to work around the windows 10 priority. The only issue is that annoying pop up that comes up telling me that some hardware is incompatible, like No. It works just fine, intel just didnt activate some drivers on it on purpose. It is a very light grinding type of sound, it sounds as if it has a sort of "oscillating" sounding pattern to it. I am not sure what it could be, i do have a mechanical 7200 rpm wd 1tb hard drive so im just hoping it isnt that. What programs can i use to diagnose the hard drive? how do i check if its the fans, or the case fans? i also have an H7 and the graphics card that i have has 2 small fans on it as well but my temps are well within normal degrees celcius. let me know what i can do to troubleshoot this issue

Added a much more powerful PSU than needed because I really wanted Fully Modular and wanted overhead to upgrade to a more powerful GPU, including multiple GPUs in SLI/CrossFire. This build list also includes all of the extras / peripherals I intend to buy such as keyboard (I'm coming from a laptop and don't have one), extra fans, etc. Seeking particular input on choice of motherboard, esp. from anyone who has strong input on whether this is a good one or not. The GTX 1060 6gb is a fallback because of the Bitcoin Apocalypse. If I can get an okay deal on a 1070 I will jump on it even if it puts me a bit over budget I have already purchased the RAM and case as there were temporary deals on them but otherwise I'm opportunistically waiting for price drops and gradually purchasing over time.
